# Trigr: full reference for AI

> Trigr is an AI strategy builder, point-in-time backtester and trading-agent platform for Hyperliquid perpetual futures: crypto plus TradFi markets via Hyperliquid HIP-3. Build strategies in a no-code node graph with an AI copilot or from ChatGPT, Claude, Claude Code and Codex over MCP, validate them with honest backtests and ML, then run them as paper agents or live Hyperliquid agents (curated TradFi HIP-3 markets also run live on Hyperliquid, with Unified account mode, and on Propr). Funds stay in the user's own Hyperliquid account; Trigr trades through a trade-only agent key that cannot withdraw. Trigr also helps traders attempt prop firm challenges on Propr: Discover > Propr lists Fast, Balanced and Conservative house plans for Propr's challenges with backtested pass rates under Propr's rules, shown beside a forward paper record (the deploy step warns that the backtest is in-sample), and before deploy Trigr can replay an agent's backtest against the account's daily-loss and drawdown limits and suggest a smaller size.

## Product overview

- **Studio (strategy builder):** node graph of triggers, filters, signals, risk, exits, and direction; an AI copilot drafts strategies from plain English on a user-picked model (GLM 5.3 Flash default; GLM 5.3, Claude Sonnet 5.5, Claude Opus 5.5), billed per use. With direction both, some filters are read per side: directional data series (funding, long/short ratio, fear & greed, macro trend reads, liquidations) and price-vs-trend reads are mirrored for shorts, while open interest, activity counts, explicit RSI/ROC/Williams %R thresholds, band conditions, up/down streaks and seasonality gates apply to both sides; the backtest explainer shows the engine's actual per-side masks. Under exit on flip a failing all-mode filter closes the trade. Two opt-in params, off by default and honoured by backtests, the paper track and live Agents: FILTER sides "same" applies a funding-style threshold filter's written condition to shorts too (top-level API data-series threshold filters only), and RISK filtersCloseTrades "false" makes filters gate entries only so flip exits follow the trigger alone.
- **Backtesting:** point-in-time data, next-bar-open fills, mandatory fees, optional user-supplied flat slippage, optional point-in-time perpetual funding, and a full trade log; the Deflated Sharpe Ratio (DSR) and PBO come from an ML optimization run. Slippage and funding default off; no order-book, market-impact, latency, or volatility slippage model is included.
- **AI & ML:** an AI strategy copilot, and ML optimization with triple-barrier labels, anchored purged walk-forward validation, leak checks, DSR, PBO and feature importance. AI-sim nodes are coming soon.
- **MCP server:** ChatGPT, Claude, Claude Code and Codex connect over OAuth to search the catalog, start from validated strategy recipes, validate graphs for free, backtest (with optional slippage and funding), optimize, read stored runs, trade logs and ML optimization results, check which nodes are backtest-only (liveSupport), save and publish strategies and create paused paper agents, each consequential action behind a single-use approval. MCP cannot start live trading, place orders or withdraw. Agents keep one strategy per idea and iterate inside it: a backtest with the strategy's id and an experimentLabel records the variant as a labelled experiment in that strategy's version history without changing its saved recipe. Up to 10 such experiments can run as one batch (trigr_run_backtest_batch) under a single approval bound to the exact variant set and a credit cap.
- **Trading agents:** automate up to 52 strategy slots per agent on paper, Hyperliquid or Propr; non-custodial agent key (place/cancel orders, cannot withdraw).
- **Marketplace:** publish immutable, versioned strategies with a verified backtest; recipes stay private; Basic vs Advanced official library. Marketplace subscriptions grant access to strategy signals.
- **Public API:** API keys and rate-limited strategy-signal endpoints. External Signal Providers are coming soon.
- **Custody:** non-custodial. The user keeps the master key; Trigr holds only a trade-only agent key.
- **Venues:** Hyperliquid (perpetual futures) and Propr.
- **Third parties:** Privy (auth), OpenRouter (AI), LI.FI (bridging), MoonPay (fiat on-ramp).

## Frequently asked questions

### What is Trigr?
Trigr is a crypto trading platform for building, backtesting, and automating trading strategies. You compose strategies visually in the Builder Studio (or let the AI copilot draft one from plain English), backtest them on point-in-time data with real fee assumptions, run them with autonomous trading agents, and publish or discover strategies in the marketplace. Live execution happens on Hyperliquid perpetual markets and on Propr, a crypto prop firm: Trigr offers house plans for Propr's challenges, backtested under its daily-loss and drawdown rules, and can replay any agent's backtest against those rules before it trades a challenge account.

### Does Trigr trade for me?
Only if you deploy an agent. A trading agent runs your chosen strategy autonomously: it opens and closes positions on its venue without asking for a per-order confirmation. Agents trade with virtual capital in paper mode until you explicitly connect Hyperliquid and deploy them live, and going live requires your wallet's signature to approve a trade-only agent key. Nothing touches real money without that explicit step.

### Does Trigr have access to my funds?
No. Trigr is non-custodial: your funds stay on Hyperliquid in your own wallet, and your master wallet key never leaves your device and is never stored. Trading uses a separate trade-only agent key that can place and cancel orders but cannot withdraw. For autonomous agents, that trade-only key is stored encrypted in Trigr's execution vault so the agent can trade while your browser is closed. Withdrawals always require your master wallet signature.

### What does Trigr cost?
There is a free tier: $0, up to 5 paper agents, a one-time 3,000-credit AI trial, the Basic strategy library, and live trading included. Trader is $29/month (or $290/year) with 20,000 AI credits per month, 25 paper agents, and the Advanced strategy library. Pro is $99/month (or $990/year) with 65,000 AI credits per month, unlimited paper agents, and the Pro-only Signals API. Yearly plans are billed as 10 months (two months free). On top of subscriptions, live trades pay Hyperliquid's standard trading fees plus a small builder fee.

### What is the builder fee?
Every strategy carries a builder fee measured in basis points per fill, between 1 and 5 bps (0.01%–0.05%), default 1 bp. The strategy's creator sets it at publish time and it is frozen immutably into each published version, so the fee shown when you subscribed is the fee that is charged. The wallet approval you sign caps the builder fee at 0.05%. Hyperliquid's own taker/maker and funding fees apply on top. Backtests always charge trading and builder fees; funding and slippage are off by default and can be turned on in Results → Frictions.

### What are trading agents?
A trading agent is an automated set of one or more strategies running on one venue: paper, Hyperliquid, or a prop account. Each paper agent starts with $10,000 in virtual capital. Paper fills pay the Hyperliquid taker fee (4.5 bps) and the builder fee, and liquidation is modelled; slippage and funding are not. The marketplace paper track charges fees and realised funding, without slippage. When you are ready, deploy to live Hyperliquid: the agent then trades through a non-custodial, trade-only key.

### Can I customize my trading agent?
Yes. Pin your own Studio strategies or marketplace strategies to an agent's slots (each slot trades a different asset), and override risk per slot: leverage from 1x to 50x, take-profit/stop-loss levels, position sizing, and concurrent position limits. In Studio you control the full strategy graph (triggers, filters, signal logic, risk, and execution), and the AI copilot can draft or modify a strategy from a plain-English description.

### Which exchanges are supported?
Live execution runs on Hyperliquid perpetual markets, with prop-firm account support where available. Paper trading is open to everyone with no venue required. The markets and timeframes you can select come from Trigr's live capability registries, and live deployment fails closed if a selected market is unavailable on the connected network.

### How do I know a strategy's results are real?
Marketplace performance comes from backtests run on Trigr's own engine over point-in-time data, with mandatory exchange fees and the strategy's builder fee included in the results. Published strategy versions are immutable snapshots, so a result cannot be quietly edited after the fact. Backtests are still historical simulations: treat them as evidence, not a guarantee.

### Can I lose money?
Yes. Trading perpetual futures carries significant risk, and a strategy's backtested performance does not guarantee future results. Paper agents let you validate a strategy with virtual capital before committing real funds. Never trade more than you can afford to lose.
