# Trigr

> Trigr is an AI strategy builder, point-in-time backtester and trading-agent platform for Hyperliquid perpetual futures: 43 crypto perps plus TradFi markets (gold, oil, indices and US stocks via Hyperliquid HIP-3). Build strategies in a no-code node graph with an AI copilot or from ChatGPT, Claude, Claude Code and Codex over MCP, validate them with honest backtests and ML, then run them as paper agents or live Hyperliquid agents (curated TradFi HIP-3 markets also run live on Hyperliquid, with Unified account mode, and on Propr). Funds stay in the user's own Hyperliquid account; Trigr trades through a trade-only agent key that cannot withdraw. Trigr also helps traders attempt prop firm challenges on Propr: Discover > Propr ranks Trigr strategies and house agents by how often their paper record would have passed each Propr challenge at 1x to 5x size (simulated consecutive attempts under Propr's published rules, counted from when each recipe was published, counts shown), and before deploy Trigr can replay an agent's backtest against the account's daily-loss and drawdown limits and suggest a smaller size.

## What Trigr is

- **Strategy builder (Studio):** compose a trigger, filters, a signal, risk and execution into a node graph, with cross-asset inputs, indicators and API data sources (funding, open interest, long/short ratio, liquidations, Binance USDT-M open interest and long/short ratios with hourly history from 2020, the Alternative.me Fear & Greed index, macro series such as FRED, VIX, CFTC COT and EIA). An AI copilot drafts, edits and backtests strategies from plain English, on a model the user picks (GLM 5.3 Flash by default, or GLM 5.3, Claude Sonnet 5.5 or Claude Opus 5.5, billed per use from the model's actual cost).
- **Backtesting:** point-in-time data only (no look-ahead), next-bar-open fills, mandatory trading and builder fees, optional user-supplied flat slippage and optional point-in-time perpetual funding, a full trade log; the Deflated Sharpe Ratio (DSR) and PBO come from an ML optimization run. Slippage and funding default off; no order-book, market-impact, latency, or volatility slippage model is included. Strategy backtests split the covered period by default (first 70% in-sample, last 30% out-of-sample; adjustable or off) and report both sides next to the full-window headline; it is a time split of one run, truly out-of-sample only if the strategy was not tuned on those bars. Strategies driven by a copy source have no split.
- **ML optimization:** triple-barrier labels, anchored purged walk-forward out-of-sample validation that picks between LightGBM, random forest and XGBoost, leak checks, DSR, the Probability of Backtest Overfitting (PBO) and feature importance (MDA, SFI, SHAP). Model families are compared; hyperparameters are not tuned.
- **Trading agents:** each agent runs on one venue — Paper, Hyperliquid or Propr — with up to 52 strategy slots on different assets, a combined backtest and a live forward record. Each strategy gets an allocation (a percent of equity, up to 100%); every entry puts up equity × allocation × the strategy's own RISK size as margin. Allocations may sum past 100%: total open margin never exceeds equity, so an entry that does not fit when it fires is skipped, and same-bar ties go to the earlier slot. Agents are non-custodial: a trade-only agent key places orders, and the user keeps the master key and custody of funds.
- **Marketplace:** publish immutable, versioned strategies with a stored verified full-history backtest; recipes stay private and runners pin the exact version they adopted. Marketplace subscriptions grant access to strategy signals.
- **MCP server for AI assistants:** https://trigr.xyz/mcp lets ChatGPT, Claude, Claude Code, Codex and other MCP clients search the capability catalog (ranked, with synonyms) and marketplace, start from validated strategy recipes (trigr_get_recipes), validate graphs and diagnose low-trade strategies for free, run credit-metered backtests (with optional slippage and funding) and ML optimization, read stored runs, their trade logs and ML optimization results (including Studio-started ones) for free, see which graph nodes are backtest-only before publishing (liveSupport), save drafts, publish eligible versions, backtest a candidate agent mix of up to 52 strategies (trigr_run_agent_backtest, 50 credits like a Studio backtest, the same mix free again that day: combined and per-strategy results, entries skipped for lack of margin, Equal / By Sharpe / Inverse vol weights, shared account equity on every venue), simulate a prop firm challenge for free (trigr_list_prop_challenges, trigr_simulate_prop_challenge on a stored strategy backtest, or propChallenge on trigr_run_agent_backtest for an agent mix: Monte Carlo pass probability beside the same simulation with the drift removed (no edge), every daily start, size and daily-loss-guard what-ifs (no edge measured under the guard); Propr challenges), and create or re-weight paused paper agents. Every consequential action uses a single-use approval bound to its exact arguments. MCP cannot start live trading, place orders or withdraw funds. Agents keep one strategy per idea and iterate inside it: a backtest with the strategy's id and an experimentLabel records the variant as a labelled experiment in that strategy's version history without changing its saved recipe. Up to 10 such experiments can run as one batch (trigr_run_backtest_batch) under a single approval bound to the exact variant set and a credit cap.
- **Public API:** owner-scoped API keys for graphs, backtests, ML optimization and trading; the Signals API is on Pro. External Signal Providers are coming soon.
- **Subscriptions:** Free, Trader ($29/mo) and Pro ($99/mo) — monthly AI credits, ML optimization, paper-agent and saved-strategy limits, the Advanced strategy library, API access and Trigr points.
